YouTube sensations joined forces with music legends at Pier 36 in New York City and made history at the first-ever YouTube Music Awards on Sunday.

The Jason Schwartzman and Reggie Watts-hosted event was live-streamed all over the world, which featured live performances from a very emotional (and androgynous) Lady Gaga who cried throughout her song “Dope,” and Eminem who performed his angry single, “Rap God,” and took home the top honor of “Artist of the Year.”
