Rachel McAdams Gushes Over ‘About Time’ Director
The time-travel romance is the perfect holiday movie and considering it stars Rachel, it’s of course a must-see flick.
So how come the actress, who has become one of our most loved after starring in The Notebook, decided to sign on board for the film?
One name—Richard Curtis!
After hearing rumors the legendary filmmaker, who is behind classics like Love Actually and Notting Hill, might retire, the actress admits she just had to do the film to get the chance to work with him.
“I was excited to work with Richard Curtis … I’ve been a fan of his movies for a long time,” Rachel admitted. “I heard a rumor that he might be retiring after this one, which I hope isn’t true … and I [had to jump onboard].”
Rachel goes on to add she also joined the film because she “loved the script [and] loved the sentiment … and it ticked all those Richard Curtis boxes you want to feel when you see one of his films.”
