Austin Mahone Talks ‘Bucket List’ Collaboration With Drake
Austin Mahone has returned after a medical set back!
The 17-year-old singer landed in the hospital with a blood clot the night before he was set to headline his first tour for the MTV Artists to Watch Tour, but is now better than ever.
Austin phoned in to On Air with Ryan Seacrest to reveal that although “it was definitely a scare,” he’s “doing a lot better now” and is “ready to hit the stage again.”
And the teen is doing just that and helping this holiday season while he’s at it. Austin is set to headline the free Rock the Red Kettle Concert at Universal CityWalk in Los Angeles, which benefits The Salvation Army.
“It’s going to be a really good time,” he tells us. “I’m super excited.”
During the concert, the singer is sure to grace the crowd with hits like “What About Love” and new track “Banga Banga“.
As for the new song, Austin describes it as: “I’m talking about how amazing this girl is. Like, I see her, she’s just amazing head to toe. Her personality is amazing. All around – she’s a ‘Banga Banga.'”
Now that Austin’s recovered from his scare and is releasing new music, there’s still one thing he wants to do: collaborate with his idol Drake!
“It hasn’t happened yet, but that’s one of the things on my bucket list I want to cross off. He’s one of my biggest inspirations, so I’d love to have a song with him.”
Only time will tell, Austin!
