Kelly Clarkson Opens up About Morning Sickness on ‘TODAY’
During an interview on NBC’s TODAY to promote her new Christmas album, Wrapped in Red, on Monday, the newly-married singer joked about her morning sickness, which has been extending beyond the early hours.
“I don’t know why they call it morning sickness — that’s my big joke right now,” Kelly told Savannah Guthrie. “Because it’s like all day and all night. I’m just looking forward to the second trimester!”
Kelly also explained why she and her husband Brandon Blackstock decided to tell the world they’re expecting earlier than most people typically wait.
“I had to cancel something because I’d been so ill, so I didn’t want people to think I was canceling [because] I was lazy or something, so we just told people.”
Kelly, who gushed that she was “dying to tell” everyone that she was pregnant, also speculated that she was having a little girl. “She’s killing me. Of course it’s a girl, causing the trouble.”
