10 Celebrities Who Should Be Really Thankful This Year
We all know Thanksgiving is more than just the turkey and stuffing. Families and friends gather together to celebrate and give thanks for special things and people in their lives.
So what are the celebrities thankful for this year? We’re not sure, but we took some guesses.
Here are 10 celebrities who definitely have something to be thankful for!
1. Miley Cyrus
Miley shocked the world with her scandalous behavior and got some negative attention, but c’mon, let’s look past that. She has had one of the most successful career comebacks from her Hannah Montana days. The singer has covered several notable magazines, topped record sales with Bangerz and its tracks like “We Can’t Stop,” hit No. 1 on the Billboard charts, stirred the social media world, and hosted Saturday Night Live all in one year! She deserves a little celebration, no?
2. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West
It’s been a big year for Kimye, after celebrating the birth of their baby girl, North, and making headlines with their recent engagement. The couple should be thankful for each other this holiday season and be ringing in the new year with some glamorous wedding plans!
Oh Justin … Despite his continued success with his Believe tour, upcoming film of the same name, and a handful of new hit singles, he has been making headlines for some less-than-positive things, like illegal graffiti and partying. Justin should be thankful that he has been able to dodge the criticisms and sustain the support of his millions of loyal Beliebers!
4. Katy Perry
2013 has been very good to Katy! She completely transformed her style from blue wigs and lollipop bras. Her newly-released album, Prism, and its several chart-topping hits, continues to shine and shed light on her fans. It’s Katy Kat’s turn to celebrate her “roaring” success and anticipate her 2014 Prismatic world tour!
5. Adam Levine
Not only is Adam People magazine’s 2013 Sexiest Man Alive, he is also engaged to the beautiful Victoria’s Secret Angel, Behati Prinsloo. As the talented hunk finishes up Season 5 of The Voice, what more could he ask for?
Ariana and her powerful pipes have made a major breakout in the music industry this past year. She’s not only captured the heart of her fans, but other celebs as well. With hit single “The Way,” its album Yours Truly, and charming British boyfriend, Nathan Sykes of The Wanted, this girl can celebrate 2013 and watch her success continue to soar in the new year.
After abruptly canceling their fall tour and eventually deciding on a mutual breakup, the Jonas Brothers have had a rocky end to their year. They should be thankful that their fans have showed continued support and will do so in their future solo endeavors. The “First Time” singers should also be thankful that a disagreement can’t break the strong bond they have as a family. And if that wasn’t enough, Kevin and his wife Danielle are expecting a baby girl in February … which means another Jonas to love!
8. Lea Michele
Lea unfortunately had to cope with the death of her boyfriend and fellow Glee cast member, Cory Monteith over the summer, but she has continued to stay strong. As she began to heal, the Glee star thanked her fans, family, and friends (especially Kate Hudson who took Lea in her home when her house was swarmed with reporters) for their support. So we know who Lea’s thankful for this Thanksgiving, but she should also be celebrating the anticipated release of her first album!
9. Taylor Swift
Taylor’s 2013 Red tour was obviously another success in addition to snagging awards at the MTV Video Music Awards, Youtube Music Awards, and the Country Music Awards as well as dazzling at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. The country cutie should be thankful for another triumphant year, but most importantly, for the honor of winning the CMA Pinnacle Award for her achievement a national and international level.
Speaking of Taylor, new artist on the block, Lorde, should be thankful that she was able to reconcile her harsh comments about the “I Knew You Were Trouble” singer. The “Royals” singer has gained extreme stardom and reached No. 1 on the Billboard charts in 2013 at the young age of 16. That’s definitely something to celebrate!
