Will Ferrell Co-Anchors Real Newscast as Ron Burgundy: Watch

A local news show in Bismarck, North Dakota just got classier.

Anchorman‘s Ron Burgundy, played by Will Ferrell, left his (fictional) news show in San Diego and co-anchored an actual newscast, KX News, on Saturday night.

Will, donning his trademark attire from Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, stayed in character for the CBS affiliated show while reading from a teleprompter and narrating news packages alongside co-anchor, Amber Schatz.

Although the actor-comedian kept his Hollywood role FCC-friendly for the half-hour slot, the Bismarck news team held back laughter every time he spoke in character.

“The second he said, ‘Good evening, I’m Ron Burgundy,’ I lost it,” Amber told The Associated Press. “It was really hard not to laugh.”

Stay classy, Bismarck!
