Lea Michele Lets the Light Shine Into Her Life in ‘Cannonball’ Video

Lea Michele is letting light shine back into her life in the music video for her inspirational ballad, “Cannonball,” which the starlet premiered on Entertainment Tonight and VEVO on Thursday.

The clip, shot under the direction of Robert Hales, finds the Glee star, donning a black dress, trapped inside an abandoned house with sparse lighting due to boarded-up windows — a metaphor for the powerfully poignant Sia-penned track about recovery and renewal.

“The minute I heard the song, I had a physical reaction to it. For me, it’s been my strength,” the 27-year-old told MTV. “I listen to it everyday. I know it was brought into my life for a reason. It’s really been so helpful for me and I hope it’s the same for other people as it’s been for me.”

“Cannonball” is the lead single off her forthcoming debut album, Louder, slated for release on March 4.
