Tina Fey and Amy Poehler’s 5 Best Moments at Golden Globes
From back massages to make-out sessions, it was hard not to be entertained by Sunday night’s 71st Annual Golden Globes. Not surprisingly, the two hilarious ladies proved that they could “out-host” themselves from last year.
The duo took the stage for the second year in a row and stated, “If something kind of works they’ll keep doing it until everyone hates it” … and we are far from hating it!
Here are the 5 best joked from Tina and Amy at the Golden Globes:
1. Amy’s back massage from Bono … which turned into a make-out session
Let’s face it, award shows can be stressful. What better way for a host/ nominee to relax than a back massage from U2’s Bono while her category was being announced? When Amy won for Best Actress, TV Comedy, she celebrated with a quick make out session with the Irish singer.
2. “Gravity is nominated for best film. It’s the story of how George Clooney would rather float away into space and die than spend one more minute with a woman his own age.”
Hands-down one of he funniest jokes of the evening was when Tina managed to describe the Sandra Bullock space flick’s plot and make a joke in one sentence.
3. Tina’s “Son” Randy
As Kyra Sedgwick and Kevin Bacon introduced their daughter, Sosie, as Miss Golden Globes, Tina thought it was the right time to introduce Mr. Golden Globes, her son from a pervious marriage, Randy (a.k.a. Amy in a Justin Bieber-esque wig) “in the name of gender equality.” Randy then went into the audience to search for his father … could it be Mandela star, Idris Elba?
4. How Tina introduced Leo DiCaprio
Possibly one of the raciest jokes of the evening was when Tina announced, “And now, like a supermodel’s vagina, lets all give a warm welcome to Leonardo DiCaprio,” before the Wolf of Wall Street actor took to the stage to present Best Actress in a Drama. But Leo took it in stride and gave the comedian a head nod when he walked out.
5. “Bradley Cooper is here, star of American Hustle. Interesting trivia: The original title of that movie was Explosion at the Wig Factory.”
Although Tina’s joke was funny, the cast had the last laugh … because American Hustle won Best Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy!
