U2 Will Be First Musical Guest on ‘Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon’

Jimmy Fallon is kicking off his Tonight Show run with a bang!

None other than U2 will be his first musical guest for the debut of his NBC late-night program when he takes over from Jay Leno on February 17, Jimmy announced during the TCA Winter Press Tour panel on Sunday, reports Entertainment Weekly.

U2 — who received an Oscar nomination for Best Original Song last week — are expected to play new music from their next album, which will drop in April. It has also been reported that the title could be revealed during the Super Bowl on February 2.

Also on the show’s first night, Jimmy will be interviewing Will Smith. “He’s a big Hollywood star,” he told reporters, “and he always brings it every time he goes on a talk show.”
