Emma Stone Talks Gwen’s Fate in ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2′
Emma Stone phoned in to On Air with Ryan Seacrest to talk about The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and revealed that fans will find out more about the fate of her character Gwen in a special clip that will debut on Thursday and will air again during the Super Bowl on Sunday.
Will Gwen die, like she does in the original comic books?
On The Amazing Spider-Man 2‘s official Facebook page on Thursday, a new clip will be released at 5 p.m. PT, which will give fans a glimpse of Gwen’s fate. Click here to tune in at that time, or you can catch the clip during the Super Bowl on Sunday.
When it comes to what fans can expect, Emma shares: “Basically they’re going to see the continuation of the Spider Man story, which is the hero’s journey, and he’s up against a whole new squadron of villains and he’s struggling with promises he’s made in the last movie and the consequences of making those and what it’s like to be in love with somebody who you promised to not see anymore.”
As for what will become of her character, Emma admits, “I think the intention the whole time has been to tell Gwen’s story has closely to the comic as possible,” but she warns we’ll have to stay tuned to see what happens.
Aside from the anticipated flick, Emma also made headlines recently with the rumor that her license is being put on hold because of an unpaid traffic ticket eight years ago!
“Almost lost my license? What?” Emma exclaims, adding that the rumor may untrue. “When did you hear this? Is this recent? … I mean, maybe that happened? But I have my license right here. It’s valid.”
