The First Avenger Returns in ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ Trailer

While the Super Bowl may have been disappointing to watch for some, if you are a Marvel comic book fan you most likely enjoyed the commercials during Sunday night’s game.

In addition to the second trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man 2, a two-minute clip for Captain America: The Winter Soldier also debuted.

In the newest preview for the sequel to 2011’s Captain America: the First Avenger, fans saw Chris Evans return as Captain America just after the events of 2012’s The Avengers.

The action-packed trailer previews the epic battle between the Captain and a mysterious, metal-armed hitman, known as the Winter Soldier. The villain, played by Sebastian Stan, is waging war on S.H.I.E.L.D. and it is up to Captain America to end it. The trailer, packed with explosions, elevator fights, and destruction, also features Samuel L. Jackson and Robert Redford.

The sequel, which also stars Scarlett Johansson, is set to hit theaters April 4.

To add to Sunday’s patriotic theme, a teaser of the preview was released with scenes from the upcoming Marvel film set to an instrumental version of the National Anthem.
