Pharrell Williams to Perform ‘Happy’ at the Oscars

The Oscars is about to get “Happy.”

It was announced on Tuesday that Pharrell Williams will perform his hit song from the Despicable Me 2 soundtrack at the Academy Awards on March 2.

“Happy” is up for Best Original Song, against “Let It Go” from Frozen, Karen O‘s “The Moon Song” from Her, and “Ordinary Love” by U2 for Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom. (The nomination for “Alone But Not Alone” was rescinded last week after it was revealed that the composer, Bruce Broughton, privately emailed members of the Academy’s music branch to vote for his song.)

The Oscars — hosted by Ellen DeGeneres — will go down in Hollywood on March 2 on ABC.

But the most important question: What will Pharrell wear on his head?
