How Did Artists Pick Their Songs for The Beatles’ Grammy Special?
The special, which airs Sunday, honors the iconic Beatles and features the biggest names in music tackling their biggest hits, right in front of Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr.
Duets include John Legend and Alicia Keys‘ take on “Let It Be” and John Mayer and Keith Urban’s rendition of “Don’t Let Me Down,” amongst others.
Also added to the mix are solo performances by Katy Perry, Stevie Wonder, Imagine Dragons, and more.
“One of the great things about this show is we went to the artist and said to them, ‘What Beatles song do you want to sing?'” explains Ken. “And for the most part, they were songs the artist themselves chose and [they] performed these songs 20 feet from Paul and Ringo.”
