Katy Perry Is Bedazzled ‘Katy-Patra’ in ‘Dark Horse’ Video Preview

Katy Perry gave fans a taste of the forthcoming music video for her radio-reigning single, “Dark Horse,” on Thursday, and it looks like the 29-year-old is taking her Katy Cats back to the ancient times.

The Egyptian-themed clip for the Juicy J-assisted track is teased with animations of Anubis — the jackal-headed god — and other ancient hieroglyphics, which is translated with urban humor.

“According to legend there was a magical queen in Memphis, Egypt. Every eclipse, kings would travel from Brooklyn to Babylon to win her heart. If she fell in love, you’d be top dawg.”

In the final shot, a golden double door opens and finds the pop vixen dressed as Cleopatra — or rather, Katy-Patra — with grills, and the sneak peek ends with the cliffhanger, “Who will win her heart?”

The video, shot under the direction of Matthew Cullen, is slated for premiere on Thursday, February 20.
