Seth Rogen Explains ‘Bound 2′ Spoof With James Franco
Seth Rogen phoned in to On Air with Ryan Seacrest to talk about that memorable spoof of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West‘s “Bound 2” music video, as well as his charity Hilary for Charity coming to colleges.
The hilarious parody features Seth and fellow funnyman James Franco, replicating Kim and Kanye’s exact motorcycle moves … even that kiss!
So how did it come about? “We were filming a movie together and the video came out and we were literally just like hanging out on-set watching it and we were like, ‘I bet we could recreate this.’ That was mostly what it was … and once we figured out [how to film it] we were like, ‘We could do it shot for shot’ … The making out was the first shot we did. We just got it out of the way.”
When he’s not joking around with Franco, he’s lending a helping hand to benefit those affected by Alzheimer’s with his wife Lauren Miller and their foundation, appropriately named, Hilarity for Charity.
“Me and my wife and some friends started a charity to benefit a fund we created with the Alzheimer’s Association and it was really to get young people off their butts and doing something that maybe contributed something to the world in some capacity instead of just playing video games all day,” Seth explains. “So we decided to try and come up with a program and what we just did was come up with a college program where people can hold their own charity events at their colleges through any group they want.”
The college program, dubbed HFC U, not only offers students a way to help, but also a chance to get to meet Seth.
“We are doing a contest now that whichever group raises the most money before the middle of April, I will come to your school and show my movie Neighbors and hang out.”
