‘RHoBH’ Stars Kyle Richards and Brandi Glanville Talk Getting Along
Kyle Richards and Brandi Glanville stopped by On Air with Ryan Seacrest to talk about the latest season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, as well as Kyle’s new HSN clothing line, Kyle by Kyle Richards, and Brandi’s latest book, Drinking and Dating: P.S. Social Media Is Ruining Romance.
The ladies, who sat next to one another — which means they’re actually in a good place right now, right? — explained that when they first met, they just started off on the wrong foot.
“We never even really got to know each other,” Kyle insists. “She thought I was someone I wasn’t and vice versa and we didn’t get a chance to get to know each other.”
So how did they finally get to a good place amongst all the seasons of drama?
“I think it was just time and getting to know each other,” Kyle continues. “Sometimes we’d be filming things and then afterwards maybe grab a bite to eat off-camera. You know just talking and over time getting to know each other and relating more on a mommy level.”
However, one woman Kyle doesn’t get along with this season is newcomer Carlton Gebbia. In fact, it’s pretty safe to say Carlton and Kyle really don’t like each other. “She just hasn’t been nice to me from the beginning. She wanted not to like me. Clearly, in my opinion,” Kyle says, “She was a viewer of the show and had made an opinion of me and came into the show and said, ‘I want to have a problem with her.’”
But that’s not the case with Brandi, who surprisingly gets along with Carlton. ”I really like her … Carlton and I get along really well. Kyle and I get along well. Carlton and Kyle don’t. I just try to stay out of their situation,” Brandi says.
Viewers have seen Kyle get into it with Carlton at Lisa Vanderpump‘s dinner table (who can forget Carlton going off on Kyle after she accused her of possibly being anti-Semitic?), but does the mom and fashion designer ever really give it back to Carlton?
“Um, yeah on the reunion [special]. Not physically, but I just at that point had it,” Kyle reveals.
And although the show comes with the downside of drama, the girls do admit the show has many upsides. Aside from having fun sometimes, the show has allowed them work opportunities.
For the brunette, that has been her new clothing line with HSN, Kyle by Kyle Richards. So how would she describe the collection? ”Relaxed glamour is the word that comes to mind … it will launch on HSN February 25 and I’ ll have a section in my store Kyle by Alene Too in Beverly Hills where you can get it … right now, it’s eight pieces: I have a jumpsuit … dresses … jackets.”
And Brandi has just released her second book, Drinking and Dating: P.S. Social Media is Ruining Romance.
In this one, she reveals that she believes social media is officially ruining the dating game. ”People are so busy posting, tweeting, and Instagramming that there’s no more face time,” Brandi explains. “And, you can stalk anyone you want … to find out what they’re doing and why they’re not texting you back.”
