Cher Lloyd Drops Release Date, Details for Long-Awaited Album

British singer-songwriter Cher Lloyd began hyping her sophomore album titled, Sorry I’m Late, last October, which ironically foreshadowed a delay in its release.

According to Billboard, the LP was originally scheduled to drop by the end of 2013, but now the former The X Factor UK contestant has provided a new debut date for the long-awaited album.

Scheduled for a May 27 release, Cher — who is teaming up with MTV — will also chose one lucky fan to exclusively premiere new music and unveil a piece of her album artwork. The “Swagger Jagger” singer will tandem-release a four-part series entitled Pieces of Cher on leading up to the album’s release.

“I think that album title basically sums up all the music, too,” the 20-year-old tells Billboard. “It’s been a long time, and here it is, and I’m really sorry that it’s a little late!”

The “I Wish” singer will also drop her latest single, “Sirens,” on SiriusXM HITs 1 on Friday, March 14. Cher will accompany Demi Lovato on her Neon Lights tour with X Factor colleagues, Fifth Harmony and Little Mix, starting March 20.
