Avril Lavigne Announces South American Solo Tour Dates

Avril Lavigne announced last Friday via Twitter that she will be joining the Backstreet Boys on their A World Like This summer tour — her first North American roadshow in seven years — and now she has dropped dates for her single-handed takeover of South America before connecting with BSB.

The “Rock ‘N’ Roll” singer will kick off her solo tour on April 29 in São Paulo, Brazil, starting April 29, and will run through major cities including Rio De Janeiro and Buenos Aires before wrapping up on May 15 in Mexico City.

After her 10-date South America tour, the 29-year-old will head stateside to join the Backstreet Boys for their U.S. concerts beginning May 22 in Seattle, Washington.
