Samuel L. Jackson Delivers ‘Boy Meets World’ Slam Poetry on ‘Fallon’

Enough is enough: Samuel L. Jackson has had it with Boy Meets World‘s 14-year cancellation, so he decided to pay an artistic tribute.

The Snakes on a Plane actor appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday night to perform a poetry slam on the ’90s television series. Opening his act with a puff from an e-cigarette, the 65-year-old delivered a rhythmic synopsis on the coming-of-age sitcom.

“Boy meets world, boy meets girl. Topanga, Topanga, Topanga. Beats the heart of Cory, a story as old as time,” he poetically debriefs the famous relationship. “For he tries to mock her, until shocker, a reluctant kiss by his locker.”

Boy Meets World —  which starred Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel — has been off the air since 2000. However, the onscreen couple will reprise their roles as Cory and Topanga this summer for Disney’s all-new spin-off series Girl Meets World, according to People.
