Final ‘X-Men’ Trailer Released: Could Jennifer Lawrence Get Spin-off?
Wolverine, Mystique, Magneto, Iceman, Storm, and Colossus are reuniting in the third and final trailer for X-Men: Days of Future Past.
In it, Wolverine, played by Hugh Jackman, time travels 50 years into the past where he hopes to assemble a mutant crew to prevent a disastrous event in the future.
Also, Jennifer Lawrence reprises her role as Mystique … and one of the film’s producers speculates that the blue mutant is now ready for a leading role in her own spin-off.
“I love what Jen Lawrence has done with her, and I feel like because she is in such a crowded ensemble, there’s so much more opportunity if you were to follow her solo,” Simon Kinber, the producer and writer of X-Men: First Class, revealed to Entertainment Weekly.
Until it is confirmed whether or not there will be an Mystique spin-off, Marvel fans can watch X-Men: Days of Future Past –which also stars Michael Fassbender, Ellen Page, Halle Berry, Evan Peters, and more — when it hits theaters on May 23.
