Jennifer Lawrence Plays Hilarious ‘Box of Lies’ Game on ‘Fallon’

She’s an Oscar-winning actress, an expert bow and arrow-wielding heroine in The Hunger Games, and a shapeshifting super-villain on X-Men — but one thing she can’t do is tell a lie.

Jennifer Lawrence made a guest appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday and challenged the host to game entitled, “Box of Lies.”

“Jennifer and I are going to select a box and open it on our side of the table out of the view of the other person and tell them what’s in the box,” Jimmy explains. “You might be lying, you might be telling the truth. Your opponent has to guess which one and either say ‘lie’ or ‘truth.'”

The 23-year-old picked the first box containing a Rubik’s Cube solidified in Jell-O and tried to fool the late-night funnyman by telling the truth — which she did. After three rounds filled with side-tracking shenanigans and voice impersonations, Jennifer lost to Jimmy after failing to fib about her burrito in a bird’s nest.

Also during her late-night appearance, Jennifer talked about her scheme to dance with Jennifer Lopez  after being “10 Jell-O shots in” at an event she attended with Jimmy.

“You came up with this idea. We’ll do a spin and then she will dance with us,” Lawrence revealed, while reenacting the scene with Jimmy. “I do it, then I look at him and he’s gone and she’s just looking at me. You made me look like a freak in front of J.Lo.”

Jennifer’s newest film X-Men: Days of Future Past will arrive in theaters on May 23.
