Maroon 5 to Release Fifth Studio Album ‘V’ in September

Maroon 5 is officially working on the follow-up album to the mega-successful Overexposed LP that spawned hits including, “Love Somebody,” Payphone,” and “One More Night.”

The Los Angeles-based rockers tweeted an official press release on Monday, announcing their forthcoming album titled V, which will arrive on September 2 via Interscope Records.

According to the statement, the five-piece band tapped producers Max Martin, Benny Blanco, Shellback, Sam Martin, and OneRepublic‘s Ryan Tedder for the fifth studio album. The new record — which will be hyped by a new single slated to drop this summer — will also feature former keyboardist Jesse Carmichael, who took a hiatus during the Overexposed recording process.

The “Daylight” maestros, whose Overexposed album debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, will also announce a forthcoming tour in the coming weeks, according to Billboard.
