Drew Barrymore Talks ‘Platonic, Wonderful Love’ for Adam Sandler
Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler have come together for their third movie together, Blended.
And she’s been busy promoting the romantic comedy … even though she just gave birth a few weeks ago to her second daughter, Frankie.
“It was so interesting because I had to go out and get back to work and promote this movie much sooner than new moms want to get back out in the world,” she explains to On Air with Ryan Seacrest. “The thing that made me so happy about it was that it’s a film that’s so positive about kids and family … This movie is very pro-family and has such great positive messages, so the timing was very serendipitous.”
And it also helps that she really loves working with Adam, who also played her love interest in The Wedding Singer and 50 First Dates.
“I respect Adam, I always have,” says Drew. “We’ve always had this very platonic, wonderful love and appreciation for each other … and I appreciate what he does.”
Blended hits theaters on Friday!
