Taylor Swift: My Next Album Is ‘My Favorite Thing I’ve Ever Created’

It feels like a perfect night … for a new Taylor Swift album.

That’s right, Swifties! The 24-year-old singer revealed at a press conference in Shanghai, where she’s been on the Asian leg of her Red tour, that she has already started work on her next album.

“I’ve already been working very hard on it and it’s already my favorite thing that I’ve ever created,” the “Begin Again” singer said. “So the idea that after Asia, I get to go back and finish everything and get everything completely done and wrapped up for a new project, it’s very exciting.”

While Swift is excited to end the musical era of Red, her songwriting style will stay the same (watch out Harry Styles).

“When I first started writing songs, the only thing that felt natural was writing songs about my own life. So, that was back when I was 12-years-old.” Taylor explained. “As I’ve grown up, the things I’ve written about have completely evolved with how I was growing…

“I think I really just love the unity it brings me and the audience because chances are they’ve felt the exact same way I felt when I wrote the song and I think it kind of reminds them — and it reminds me — that the human experience isn’t so lonely.”

Taylor will wrap up her Red tour on June 12 in Singapore.
