‘The Fault in Our Stars’ Actors Sneaking Into Screenings
When you see The Fault in Our Stars this weekend, don’t be surprised if the person also sobbing next you is one of the actors from the movie!
John Green, the author of the book it’s based on, tweeted on Friday that he had “snuck into a theater” to watch TFIOS on opening day and he heard some of the cast — which includes Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort — was doing the same.
Just snuck into a theater to watch #tfios on opening day with an audience. Heard the cast is doing this too!

The author’s Instagram is also a secret gem for all fans of the book and now, the movie.
Not only does he post photos from the promo tour for TFIOS, but also throwbacks from the set.
“One of our last nights in Pittsburgh, we stayed up all night filming in this beautiful church,” he captioned the photo below. “(Readers of the book will know the scene.) Around 4 in the morning, the crew had to set up for a new shot. Ansel and Nat sat down at the piano and began improvising together, a sad and beautiful song that filled the church. Shai and I were crying when we took these pictures, as was much of the movie’s crew. It is my most vivid memory.”
