One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson to Buy Hometown Football Club
BBC reported on Friday that the 22-year-old singer is in the final stages of co-purchasing his hometown football club, the Doncaster Rovers, with its former owner, John Ryan, and that it may be official as early as this Wednesday.
A devoted soccer fan, Louis had the opportunity to play for his favorite team in a charity game last February.
Wow what an incredible experience . Can’t put into words how I feel I will never forget pulling on my own Doncaster Rovers shirt !!

The charity game, which normally attracts around 100 guests, welcomed almost 5,000 with Louis’ name on the roster. Former Rovers player John Buckley believes the 1D singer’s ownership would be good for the club.
“I do wonder how much control Louis would have but on the basis of him helping out financially,” Buckley told local newspaper the Doncaster Free Press, “that could be phenomenal for the town and the club as a whole.”
Once the deal is finalized, it will make Louis one of the youngest football club owners.
