Demi Lovato Announces L.A. Show, Talks Ed Sheeran Duet
Demi Lovato and Ed Sheeran answered the prayers of fans everywhere when they came together to perform his song “Give Me Love,” together at the Hollywood Bowl this week, and the “Really Don’t Care” singer called in to On Air with Ryan Seacrest on Thursday morning to explain how the epic duet came about.
“I’ve been a huge, huge fan of his,” she explains. “I love his music, I love his album, so I covered his song and he saw it. And then he got in contact, and we were like, ‘We should write together, we should do something together.’ And then we ended up playing the same show at the Hollywood Bowl, so were like we have to do the song together. I was really really exited and super honored to do that with him because he’s just so talented.”
Next up for Demi is her Demi: World Tour … even though she just wrapped her Neon Lights Tour.
“I’ve been touring a lot, but the exciting thing about it, the tours are doing so well, we’re just adding on more shows,” she explains. And there’s yet another date Demi is adding: September 27 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles!
“I’m so excited, I’ve never played Staples Center,” adds Demi about the concert, for which tickets go on sale July 11. “I’m freaking out. It’s incredible. … Come and see it!”
And even though she has achieved amazing success, Demi still gets excited about the little victories.
“If you don’t, you’re wasting a perfect opportunity to sit back and enjoy everything you’ve been working on, for me, 15 years of my life,” she explains. “It’s just an incredible, incredible feeling. And even when I’m in the car with my driver or something, and my song comes on, I’m like, ‘Hey, turn it up, mu song’s on!'”
