Expecto Patronum! Wingardium Leviosa! Expelliarmus!

Start practicing your spells future wizards and witches because Harry Potter‘s story is not yet over.

Not only did the expansion to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter open today, but author J.K. Rowling also released a new Harry Potter story to NBC‘s Today.

Rita Skeeter, The Daily Prophets‘ renowned gossip columnist, catches up with our favorite characters as they meet up for the Quidditch World Cup finals. Now in their early 30s, we learn who married who, who’s still single, and even their professions!

Harry Potter is an Auror sporting grey streaks in his hair and the same round glasses from his childhood. A new scar on his cheek accompanies the infamous lightning bolt on his forehead. His wife, Ginny Weasley, has become a journalist and is covering the Quidditch World Cup for The Daily Prophets.

Harry’s best friends, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley, are married. Hermione is the Deputy Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement and Ron co-manages his family Wizarding joke store with his brother, George.

Neville Longbottom is now a professor at Hogwarts and married to former classmate, Hannah Abbott.

Rowling ends the article by saying Rita Skeeter wrote a book, Dumbledore’s Army: The Dark Side of the Demob, which will be available for purchase from Flourish and Blotts on July 31st. Do HP fans have even more to look forward to this month? Don’t “JK” us, J.K.!
