Ludacris has been busy lately between his singing competition, ABC’s Rising Star, and wrapping production on Fast & Furious 7.

But he took the time to call into On Air with Ryan Seacrest on Friday morning to update us on all he has going on and what we can expect.

As for Rising Star, which also features Kesha and Brad Paisley as judges, alongside the rapper-actor, he boasts, “It’s been going real good … There are so many new shows that come on television each and every week, or each and every season, but this one has some lasting power, trust me on that. Everyone at home is actually involved. You download a free application and you get to vote and you get some of the action.”

Ludacris also just wrapped production on Fast & Furious 7 last week. According to reports, Paul Walker‘s brothers Cody and Caleb helped out with the remainder of the late actor’s scenes that were shot after his November 2013 death.

“They helped out,” reveals Ludacris. “I’m not at liberty to tell you how, but I can tell you they definitely helped out. We were about 75 percent done shooting the movie before Paul passed away, so there were just some things we needed to do in order to finish the movie and we made it happen.”

Fast & Furious 7, which also stars Vin Diesel, DwayneThe Rock” Johnson, Tyrese Gibson, and Michelle Rodriguez is set for an April 3, 2015 release and Luda proclaims that it is unlike the six before it.

“History is going to be made like you’ve never seen it done before,” he says. “I think we’re going to hit $1 billion on this one. Not only is the movie incredible, but it’s just taking it to a whole other level. I think I speak for a lot of people when I say we completely defied what sequels are supposed to do. Usually, they get worse over time, but these continue to get better. I’m here to let you know this Fast franchise is definitely going down in history. Trust me on that.”

Rising Star airs Sundays at 9/8c on ABC!
