Liev Schreiber Explains How He Broke His Nose on ‘Ray Donovan’
Ray Donovan himself, Liev Schreiber, called in to On Air with Ryan Seacrest on Friday to talk about his hit Showtime series … a week after we first tried to get him on the phone.
That just gave Ryan an extra week to think about what he wanted to bring up with the actor: The fact that he watched the premiere with his mother Connie, unbeknownst to him that there was a serious love scene in the episode.
“That was probably more uncomfortable than shooting it,” joked Liev about Ryan having to sit through the scene with his mother.
Filming has been dangerous in more ways than one for Liev. He broke his nose not once, but twice!
“I’ve got one of those noses it doesn’t matter what you do to it. We were shooting in one of those fabulous architectural houses that have glass everything. It was just one of those days you’re walking around with your head down, then all of a sudden — blam — there was blood everywhere. And I looked up at the glass wall and there was this wonderful, huge Rorschach imprint of my nose and grease on the glass.”
Ray Donovan airs on Showtime on Sundays at 9 p.m.
