The Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout called in to On Air with Ryan Seacrest on Monday morning, just hours before he’s set to hit the field to take on the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Could tonight’s big game possibly be a preview of the World Series?

“Our goal is to get to the playoffs,” admits Mike, 22. “We always travel 30 minutes from our field and it’s always a big rivalry for sure The fans are always involved.”

The East Coast native as also been hitting a home run in his new hometown. “I love it,” he says. “I live in Newport, can’t complain, 70 degrees every day by the beach.”

While we had Mike on phone, we got the opportunity to surprise one of his littlest biggest fans, a little boy named David, with the chance to meet his idol and hang out with him at a game.

“When I hear that stuff, for me, growing up as a kid and watching baseball on TV, I’ve always told myself I’ve wanted to give back,” says Mike. “Every chance I get … to meet people and make their day, I never say no.”
