Ariana Grande Drops ‘Best Mistake’ Featuring Big Sean: Listen

Ariana Grande has been previewing her forthcoming sophomore album with fiery club anthems like the inescapable “Problem” featuring Iggy Azalea and the Zedd-produced “Break Free.” Now, the 21-year-old is cooling things down with her latest single “Best Mistake” featuring Big Sean.

In the track, the artist deviates from her signature breathtaking falsettos and softly sings the piano-driven song — about an on-off again relationship — in a sultry vocal range.

“Break up, make up / total waste of time /can we please make up our minds?” she sings. “And stop acting like we’re blind / cause if the water dries up /and the moon stops shining / stars fall, and the world goes blind / boy you know I’ll be savin’ my love for you.”

In his guest verse, the Finally Famous artist raps the same sentiments of a troubled relationship: “I guess times wasting, tick tocking lip locking / how do we keep the feelings fresh how do we zip lock them / wear your heart up on your sleeves so watch for pickpockets / I guess to go the distance we might need to pit stop it.”

The long-time collaborators have previously worked on her single “Right There” off her debut Yours Truly album … and perhaps even more. E! Online is reporting that the two are now dating.

“They have been spending more time together and recently have been getting very close,” a source tells the site. “They are both doing great.”

“Best Mistake” is available for download iTunes now.
