Bebe Rexha Explains Inspiration for ‘I Can’t Stop Drinking About You’
Bebe Rexha may be better known for writing Eminem and Rihanna‘s “Monster” and singing the hook on Cash Cash‘s “Take Me Home,” but she is commanding the spotlight now with her own single, “I Can’t Stop Drinking About You,” which was inspired by a former boyfriend who was still in love with his ex.
“I went to a bar one night with my friends and we went drinking and he had called me to backpedal and I told him to leave me alone and that I was drinking about him,” the singer tells On Air with Ryan Seacrest. “That’s how the song was inspired.”
Although Bebe has not received any word from that ex about the song, she expects to soon.
