Taylor Announces VMAs Performance, Teases Yahoo! Live Stream
Taylor Swift will soon be everywhere!
After teasing new music and a big announcement for the past week, the “22” singer appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and dropped a pretty big bombshell: She’ll be performing a new song at the August 24 MTV Video Music Awards.
But that’s all she would say. “We’re planning it … and we’re planning it,” she told Jimmy when he asked whether it would be an elaborate production or something simple and acoustic.
As for her Yahoo! live stream this coming Monday, August 18 at 5 p.m. ET, Taylor was equally mute. “Theoretically, you would go on Yahoo! and you would push play on the live stream. It would be streaming live … that’s exactly how that would work. In general, you can stream anything these days.”
After Jimmy needled her a bit for more info, all Taylor would say is, “There could be one announcement or there could be multiple announcements.”
Also while on The Tonight Show, Taylor appeared in a hilariously strange skit with Fallon, Ew!, in which she played a nerdy teen girl named Natalie.
And if that all wasn’t enough, Taylor is also set to perform at the iHeartRadio Music Festival, which goes down at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas on September 19 and 20 … and she’s expected to treat us to new music from her upcoming album!
