Nick Jonas Dishes on New Music, Bulking up for ‘Kingdom’
Nick Jonas is amping up his double-threat status.
Not only is his new MMA series for DirectTV, Kingdom, set to premiere on October 8, but he’s also getting ready to drop his second single off his upcoming solo album, “Jealous,” next week.
On Air with Ryan Seacrest‘s Manny Streetzcaught up with Nick at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, and the former Jonas Brothers member gave us some info on his new music and how he got so jacked up for his Kingdom role.
After a few showcases in Los Angeles, Nick is next headed to New York City for some TV performances. “I’m ready for the world to hear it,” he says about his next single.
As for how he transformed his physique to play aspiring MMA fighter Nate for Kingdom, Nick explains it took a lot of work in the gym,
“I did a lot of strength-training first, so about two-a-days each days, putting on about 15 pounds of muscle and then the fight training on top of that. So it was a lot. And it was fun, I had a great time doing it.”
