Pierce Brosnan Explains Bringing ‘The November Man’ to Big Screen
Pierce Brosnan — a.k.a. “The World’s Best-Looking Man,” at least to Ryan — is back in an action role on the big screen as former CIA agent Peter Devereaux in The November Man.
And it’s a passion project near and dear to the 61-year-old’s heart. “It took five years to bring it to the screen,” he tells On Air with Ryan Seacrest. “I optioned this series of books by Bill Granger. It worked out really well. I suppose I should have picked up the gun sooner after the days of Bond. It’s kind of a hard-nosed, gritty character.”
Pierce adds that The November Man, which also stars Ellen K.‘s girl crush Olga Kurylenko is the first in a film series, and that a sequel has already been picked by Relativity Media.
“The stage is clear right now,” he says. “I’ve taken time off to be with my wife Keely and our boys and they do travel with me on some of these movies, but it does have the potential to be a franchise.”

The November Man is in theaters today.
