How Did Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Pull off Secret Wedding?
Only friends and family were invited to the private wedding, in which Angelina’s two eldest sons Maddox and Pax walked her down the aisle, Zahara and Vivienne were the flower girls, and Shiloh and Knox served as the ring bearers, according to the Associated Press.
“When you break it down, its pretty clear how they really kept it a secret,” he said, explaining how the media had been tracking the Jolie-Pitt wedding since their engagement two years ago. “In a way, they kind of just wore everyone down.”
The entertainment reporter also revealed that the E! News team predicted the secret wedding a few weeks in advance.
“We talked about this a few weeks ago,” he said. “We said, ‘Look, if they’re going to get married this summer, it could be around Labor Day, it could be around the end of the summer.’ So it was on our radar for sure.”
Earlier this year, Brad told the Hollywood Reporter in an interview that he intended to marry Angelina, but not until same-sex marriage is legalized.
“We’d actually like to,” he says of his nine-year partner. “And it seems to mean more and more to our kids. We made this declaration some time ago that we weren’t going to do it till everyone can. But I don’t think we’ll be able to hold out. It means so much to my kids, and they ask a lot. And it means something to me, too, to make that kind of commitment.”
This marks the second wedding for the Fight Club actor, who previous wed Jennifer Aniston in 2000. Angelina was married to Jonny Lee Miller before ending their three-year marriage in the late ’90s. She also tied the knot with Billy Bob Thornton for three years before calling it quits in 2003.
