It’s no secret that Usher is putting together his long-awaited eighth studio album.

Though the follow-up to Looking 4 Myself is still unnamed, the 35-year-old hyped the project with a performance of “She Came to Give It to You” alongside collaborator Nicki Minaj at the MTV Video Music Awards, and now, a 27-city tour.

“I’ve been busy. Just making my way back to the stage has been kind of the greatest anticipation of this year and now I’m ready,” he told On Air with Ryan Seacrest. “I’ll be touring on North America in 27-cities and I’m really excited about it.”

The UR Experience tour, which ends his three-year roadshow hiatus, will kick off in Montreal, Quebec on November 1, and will take the singer-dancer through cities including Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Atlanta before wrapping up in Tampa, Florida on December 14.

“[This will be] like no other [tour] before,” Usher described the forthcoming tour. “Twenty years of doing this, musically, I’ve graced every stage there is, but never quite like this. This is going to be a new experience that does not arrive based off of one album, or either the launch of this most-recent album, which I’m not finished yet, I’m still working on it. I just really want to get back on the stage. You see me playing the bass, you see me playing the guitar, you see me playing the drums … it’s just a different experience.”

While Ryan had Usher on the phone, he brought up a conversation he had with Ed Sheeran recently, in which the British singer said that if Usher doesn’t include their collaboration on his upcoming album, he’ll take it.

“First of all, you’ve got Diplo, Skrillex, and Ed Sheeran all in one room,” says Usher. “I happened to be the recipient of whatever happened in that moment. We did create some cool stuff. Who is to know where everything is going to lead … I haven’t finished. But we did have a great time.”

Usher’s new album is due out this year and he’ll be performing at Fashion Rocks on September 9 (buy tickets here). Tickets for his tour will go on sale on Monday, September 8 at 10 a.m. ET on LiveNation.com.
