Brad Goreski Reveals His Take on J.Lo, Lupita, and Lady Gaga’s Oscars Fashion
Just as exciting as the films and movie stars at the Oscars on Sunday night was the red carpet fashion.
“I think here were more hits this year,” he explains. “I was really excited by what I saw. There were a handful of people that I was like, ‘Eh…’ and a couple of gown that were a little similar, which as a stylist makes me kind of panic. There was a situation with [Jennifer Lopez] and Robert Duvall‘s wife. Even though they’re not the same gown, there weren’t a lot of big Cinderella gowns on the carept and that moment was very similar.. But it’s J.Lo … I thought she looked really beautiful.”
As for Lupita Nyong’o‘s dress of pearls, Brad says he’s “a little on the fence about it. I thought the actual dress, in terms of craftmanship and what Francisco Costa, the designer at Calvin Klein did in putting that dress together … that is a work of art. I can’t figure out if I loved it or not.”
Lady Gaga stunned in a white Azzedine Alaia gown, although some were not huge fans of her red gloves, which unfortunately covered up her new engagement ring. “As a music performer and someone who is a fashion risk taker, this is a combination of everything she’s known for, being a boundary pusher,” comments Brad.
