With his thriving broadcasting career and multiple ventures in media, it's no wonder why Ryan Seacrest is at the forefront of entertainment media. While hosting and producing multiple television and radio programs, building his Ryan Seacrest Productions banner (RSP) into a viable entity creating content for all media platforms, and a myriad of brand ventures, Seacrest is redefining what it means to be an entrepreneur and a quadruple threat in Hollywood. DETAILS Magazine crowned him their top "Maverick" of 2008 featuring him on the April cover of the magazine. Seacrest was bestowed a star on the prestigious Hollywood Walk of Fame and was named in FORBES Magazine's annual "Celebrity 100 Power List" in 2006, 2007 and 2008 joining the ranks with Tom Cruise, Oprah Winfrey and Tiger Woods.
Seacrest is the top host on television today. In addition to being at the helm of FOX's "American Idol," the #1 show on television for it's 7th season in a row, Seacrest hosts a number of tentpole programs for multiple networks. This year he was asked by FOX to host the prestigious Primetime Emmy Awards, as well as the first ever entertainment pre-show for Super Bowl XLII. Seacrest will continue to produce and co-host America's favorite New Year's Eve program, ABC's "New Year's Rockin' Eve" annually. Seacrest's long-term deal with E! Network showcases his hosting talents at the music and film industry's top tier awards shows in addition to his highly rated daily show, "E! News." He can also be seen as recurring guest host for CNN's prestigious "Larry King Live."
Seacrest continues to rule the radio waves with three ventures that carry his recognizable voice globally. His popular, and top rated Los Angeles morning show, On Air with Ryan Seacrest can now be heard throughout the US. Seacrest recently announced his expanded partnership with Clear Channel creating a new 3-hour hybrid of his daily show that will be syndicated on over 500 stations nationally. An intricate part of this deal allows Seacrest to control and own advertising space both on air and on the internet. He can still be heard every weekend on American Top 40, an institution that he took over from radio legend Casey Kasem and has doubled in syndicated stations since Seacrest hit the airwaves. Seacrest has also reached international fame with his celebrity driven radio show for Capital Radio and GCap Media's One Network in the United Kingdom. His two-hour show, The Entertainment Edge, will be comprised of music and celebrity news and will be syndicated in additional markets throughout Europe making the Seacrest brand a worldwide entity.
Ryan Seacrest Productions (RSP) has quickly established itself as a full fledged production entity, with numerous pilots, series and specials in production and development. Seacrest's latest project under his RSP banner is "Momma's Boys" which centers on a group of mothers who are brought in to help their complacent sons choose a bride. Seacrest and Andrew Glassman of Glassman Media will co-produce the show that will air on NBC this fall immediately following the summer Olympics.
RSP has teamed up with MTV for their next project, "Bromance" starring Brody Jenner the breakout star of "The Hills." This reality show will follow Brody as he searches to befriend one guy to become part of his entourage. RSP recently premiered the highly anticipated reality program "Denise Richards: It's Complicated" on E! Entertainment to huge ratings. This series follows Denise Richards as she navigates through Hollywood, romance, motherhood and the tabloids. RSP has also brought us the extremely successful reality series "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," which follows the increasingly hectic life of Kim Kardashian. Seacrest serves as executive producer for the show which highlights the entertaining life of the tabloid target and her famous family, earning the show the number one ratings in its time slot. In addition, Seacrest joined forces with MTV in a deal to executive produce, "Crash My School," a one hour special that aired on MTV in June 2007. This reality series gives kids the chance to petition their principals with the help of the show's host.
Seacrest's ever growing brand spans beyond media with his many entrepreneurial endeavors. He signed an extensive deal with brand heavyweight Proctor & Gamble to be the spokesperson for Crest and Scope. Seacrest took this opportunity with Crest and Scope to raise funds for one of his philanthropic partners, Operation Smile; a medical charity whose network of global medical personal and physicians provide free reconstructive surgery to underprivileged children with facial deformities and other dental needs. Seacrest has also forged continued deals with Coke and Cingular Wireless expanding beyond their deals with "American Idol" featuring him at various events and in commercials for each prospective brand. Also under the RSP umbrella is his part ownership of popular restaurants Sushi Roku, Katana and Boa.
