American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert is set for a big debut after stepping out of the spotlight following one of the biggest finales in Idol history.
Adam called Ryan's radio show Tuesday to announce that he'll be performing his highly-anticipated new single at the American Music Awards, for which he was announcing the nominations later in the morning. The Black Eyed Peas are also scheduled to perform at the awards show.

The single has yet to be released, but will be "something entirely different" and "glammy" said Adam. While he didn't give us a release date for the single, Adam said the currently untitled album will be released November 24.
"It's all very exciting...we're bringing back a glam-rock kind of feel to pop music so I hope everbody likes it."
Regarding rumors that Adam will replace Kanye West and tour with Lady Gaga, he said, "that would be cool...no offers have been made yet."
