EXCLUSIVE: Paula Abdul Debuts New Single "Here For The Music"

American Idol judge Paula Abdul debuted her new song "[I'm Just] Here For The Music" Tuesday on Ryan's radio show, the first single from her album due to be released this fall.

“It was exciting to hear it for the first time on the radio, thank you” said Abdul.

The single reunites Abdul with producer Oliver Lieber, who helmed Paula’s chart topping album ‘Forever Your Girl’.

After many rumors, Abdul officially confirmed she will perform the song Wednesday night on American Idol. Abdul has never performed on the show before.

Abdul announced that she is “so excited” for her performance tomorrow night of her debut single as she announced “it’s official.”

"I was invited by the producers and I wasn't sure it I was going to do it because timing is of the essence," explained Abdul.

Abdul decided last minute for her first performance ever on Idol as she “put everything together Saturday, and rehearsed on Sunday.” I’m feeling really good.”

Abdul also said she is unsure if she'll be returning to American Idol after this season. With the beginning of next season looming, she said she only has weeks left to decide.

"I’ve had a blast, I love this show, hopefully I will be coming back for more…I have to weigh in everything” Abdul continued. “I’m sure we’ll all be there” as she refers to Simon, Randy and herself staying on Idol.
