The sobering news that we knew was to come eventually came to fruition Tuesday morning as Layla Grace's mother told over 40,000 twitter followers that the young cancer victim had passed away.

May she rest in peace.

I am so sorry and i send my prayers out to Layla Grace's family because i know how hard it is to loose a loved one i lost my uncle a few years back to cancer!!!!!!!!

It was very very sad to hear of this news. Her parents were able to share her journey with us through twitter. Every cough and snooze came across. Really sad news. Such a sweet, powerful soul...
