Perez Hilton Exposes Ryan's Idol Understudy

Celebrity blogger and “Queen of all Media”, Perez Hilton, called in to Ryan Seacrest’s radio show this morning to discuss his current musical infatuation, Lady GaGa, and gave an inside look into last night's Idol show.

“She’s not a character, she’s really like that,” Hilton said of GaGa’s stage persona.  Ryan and Perez both agreed that her performance was one of the best live American Idol performances ever, despite her being under the weather.  Hilton admitted to coming to the live taping of Idol specifically just to see Lady GaGa perform.

While on the phone, Hilton gave some exclusive information as to what would happen if Ryan wasn't able to host last night.  Due to Ryan flirting with the flu, Fox called in a fill-in, So You Think You Can Dance host Cat Deeley,  just in case.

Before the live results show, stage manager Debbie told Entertainment Weekly, “Our little Ry-Ry is sick.… We’ve got … Cat Deeley standing by.”

Obviously, someone gave Ry-Ry a sucker and he felt better, as he showed up and turned in a flawless performance as usual.

Perez also informed Ryan that  “April is STD Awareness Month” and that he joined MTV’s GYT  (Get Yourself Tested) Campaign to encourage people to get checked.  He urged its importance “because almost all STDs are treatable if you go to a doctor.”  We’re with you on that one, Perez.
