Twitter Community Rallies Support for Layla Grace [AUDIO]
LAYLAGRACE.ORG

In an emotional telephone interview Monday, Shanna Marsh, the mother of 2-year-old Layla Grace, called Ryan's radio show to continue to raise awareness for Layla's condition.

LISTEN | Layla Grace's Mom Calls Ryan

Little Layla Grace is battling stage four Neuroblastoma, a cancer that is common in infancy and childhood, but she doesn't fight the battle alone. All around the Twitterverse, 28,000 plus followers are updated daily on little Layla's condition by her mother.

Layla's mom has taken to the Internet and found support and comfort on social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter. The love has come from moms, dads and even celebrities like Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian.

Visit LaylaGrace.org for links and information on how you can help fundraise. Note, all donations go directly to Layla Grace's medical expenses.

To those blasting her mom, reality check. Layla is asleep most of the day. And rather than "literally all day" I'd guess typing a message here & there on twitter takes a total of 1 min out of every hr

they are absolutely by her side, but don't your kids get attention jealous if u are on your phone or computer? they all do, even the little ones. that is all.

@sadforlaylagrace - Matthew 7:1-2 Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

Some people write in diaries about there cares and worries, what is the difference if this family types their words instead of writing them down? Leave them alone & let them cope the only way they can

So many of you are faulting this poor family for making their heartache so public. People do own laptops. Sounds to me that they are by her side every second of every day.

I am happy Shanna has shared with the world. Before now, I had never heard the word Neuroblastoma. This is very frightening to me as I have a young son. Hopefully, now the awareness will continue.

there are many of us, at least a hundred i've spoke with, that agree that the computer/iphone need to be set aside while layla is still here. she can see that mom's attn is only half with her when mom is typing away literally all day long. grieving moms everywhere would give anything for those last moments with their angels..i know i would :(

i cry daily for this poor child, she needs her mom's undivided attn these last few days she has. there will be years to "raise awareness" once she's gone but get offline and show layla that right now SHE is all that matters!! please, before u realize what you've done n regret it :(

Also thumb downers get a life, just because you have/had a sad childhood doesn't mean you need to bring others down! Thumb down me all you want, still praying hard for Layla Grace!!!

It seems so unfair that this sweet, innocent child will have her life cut short due to this horrible illness, but these people giving a thumbs down who has no compassion gets to keep on living.

maybe the ppl giving thumbs down feel bad that layla's last memory of her mom will be her typing away at some online site. Some grieving mom's would give anything to spend a last moment with their child..

Thank you Ryan for highlighting the courageous struggle of Layla and her family. No child should have to endure what Layla is going through. Thinking about the Marsh family constantly.

Layla Grace and her family need all the support and prayers possible! I am so happy Ryan had her on his show! Those who gave a thumb down should be ashamed. Karma is a bitch!

My son, Connor Cruse, passed away last July, after his four year battle with Neuroblastoma. I feel for this family. We started teamconnor.org a few years ago to fight childhood cancer.

Layla Grace is an amazing little girl. The media is constantly downing social networking, but look what it has done for this family. They are getting prayers and the funding they need.
